About Khet Aadhaar

Farming built around precision, not the season.

We design and build soil-less growing systems that give crops exactly what they need — regardless of climate, land, or time of year.

Why we exist

Khet Aadhaar Private Limited was founded in 2021 in Kalyan, Thane, with a simple observation: most of the water, land and season that field farming needs is not available to an Indian city — yet cities are where the demand for fresh, exotic produce is growing fastest. Founder Suyog Kulkarni set out to position India on the global agri-tech map by pairing hydroponics with IoT monitoring so a crop can be grown well on a balcony, a terrace, a school campus or a commercial polyhouse.

Along the way the company built its own tools — the patented Khet Ankur agri-bot and a self-watering soil-less clay pot among ten innovations — and launched Urban Oasis, its urban-farming division. Its programmes are recognised by MANAGE, RKVY-RAFTAAR and the Ministry of Agriculture. Separately from this commercial work, the founders set up the Khet Aadhaar Foundation, a Section 8 non-profit that runs CSR and skill-development programmes for rural schools, smallholder farmers, women and girls.

Today, that shows up as three connected disciplines: precision hydroponics that control exactly what a crop receives, biophilic air-quality engineering that brings the same living systems into buildings, and high-yield farming that makes exotic, climate-sensitive vegetables viable locally.

What Drives Us

Principles behind every installation

Measure, then grow

Nutrient, water, and light decisions are based on data from the site and crop — not assumption.

Air is part of the harvest

Every system is designed with the building's air quality in mind, not just the yield.

Built to last

Systems are specified for years of operation, not a single season's trial.

Team

The people building it

A small, hands-on team across agronomy, systems & IoT engineering, and training programmes — led from Dombivli and Kalyan, Thane.

Suyog Kulkarni

Founder & Managing Director

Founded Khet Aadhaar in 2021 to put India on the global agri-tech map — combining IoT-driven hydroponics with training and CSR programmes that make soil-less farming accessible from kitchens to commercial polyhouses.

Agronomy & Crop Science

Growing team

Plans crops, nutrient programmes and harvest schedules for exotic and Indian vegetables, herbs, edible flowers and medicinal plants across NFT, Dutch bucket, DWC and aeroponic systems.

Systems & IoT Engineering

Build team

Designs and installs soil-less systems and the sensors behind them — including the patented Khet Ankur agri-bot — so every farm can be monitored, not guessed.

Programmes & Khet Aadhaar Foundation

Training & CSR team

Runs NEP 2020 school and college labs, skill-development workshops and CSR projects that help women, girls and rural farm families become self-reliant through hydroponics.
